BillPay for Rent: Connect Your Portal, Pay with One Click (Beta)

We're excited to beta-launch a streamlined way to pay rent that eliminates monthly authorization while keeping your payments and rewards in one place.
BillPay for Rent connects directly to your property's payment portal, lets you pay with a single click, and earn valuable rewards—all through the Bilt app.
How BillPay for Rent Works
Bilt Members who did not live in a Bilt Alliance property needed to manually authorize each rent payment to ensure we were keeping each payment safe and secure. While this protected your account, authorizing each month created an extra step that made rent payments more complex than necessary.
This new capability maintains security standards while eliminating the need for manual authorization. The connection process uses industry-standard encryption designed to protect your personal information at every step, giving you convenience while we keep security top of mind.
What This Means For Members
Once this is rolled out, members will no longer have to switch between apps or manually authorize payments each month. Connect your rent portal once, and enjoy seamless rent payments that earn Bilt Points every time you complete an eligible transaction.
Your rent balance refreshes every few days in the Bilt app, and you can refresh anytime you need updated information pulled in from your rent payment portal! When Rent Day® arrives, submit your payment with one click and we'll handle the rest—securely connecting to your property's portal to process everything automatically.

How to Connect Your Portal
If you’re part of the beta test, click on the BillPay for Rent banner in the Pay Rent tab
Select ‘online rent payment portal’
Copy and paste your property's payment portal URL
Complete the secure connection process which may include verification steps depending on your portal
Your portal is connected! Each month you can come back to the Bilt app to pay your rent and earn rewards all in one place.
If you choose to use the existing authorization process, you can skip the connection step and continue to use your account and routing number and continue authorizing payments monthly.
* Note: This feature is currently available to select Bilt Members as part of our beta program. We're committed to delivering the highest quality experience before expanding access and will communicate when this is made available for all Bilt Members.
Exact refresh frequency and processing times depend on your payment portal, we recommend manually refreshing before each time you make a payment.
