Letter to Bilt Members – 2025

Dear Bilt Members,

As the year comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment to reflect and share where Bilt is headed next, and why.

Where we started

When we started Bilt, the idea was simple: rent should be more rewarding.

For millions of people, rent is the single biggest expense in their lives — and for too long, it didn’t give you anything back. We believed that had to change.

What surprised us along the way wasn’t just how many people agreed with that idea, but how members began to use Bilt once it existed.

What we learned

Over time, it became clear that what we were building wasn’t just a better way to earn points. Bilt was becoming a membership centered around where you live.

That insight has shaped everything we’ve done since.

How Bilt shows up

One of the clearest expressions of that idea has been Rent Day.

Every month, we’ve tried to take the sting out of the familiar moment of paying rent and make it feel different. We didn’t want to provide generic offers, but with experiences and benefits designed specifically to make your membership even more valuable.

This month’s Rent Day captures that spirit. We partnered with A$AP Rocky—who supported us from day one in launching Bilt back in 2022—as he prepares to release his highly-anticipated fourth studio album. Rocky designed a limited-edition DON’T BE DUMB vinyl exclusively for Bilt Members and joins us on Rent Free to reward winners by helping to cover their rent. You can pre-order this member-exclusive vinyl as one of several special benefits this month.

This Rent Day, we’re also offering 10X on Neighborhood Delivery and free delivery to celebrate our new status benefit as well as our usual member favorites like neighborhood dining experiences, complimentary fitness classes, and more.

How Bilt is evolving

As Bilt has grown across over 5.5MM homes and 45,000 neighborhood merchants, we’ve continued to explore how we can create even more value for your membership.

Bilt Points are, and will remain, a powerful currency you can redeem for everyday value and transfer to our industry-leading network of travel partners.

And now, starting in January, members will also begin to see Bilt Cash appear in their wallets: designed to live alongside Bilt Points and give members even richer value where they live.

Where we’re headed

Looking ahead to the new year, our focus is simple: less friction, and more things streamlined for you.

As Bilt continues to expand, we’re building toward a future where being a member means having everyday life in and around your home taken care of: from paying rent and handling maintenance requests to booking your restaurant reservations, coordinating grocery delivery, and arranging your next local fitness class.

That’s the direction behind the neighborhood concierge we’re building — not as a feature, but as a core interface for how your membership shows up in real life. You’ll start to see pieces of this come together in the months ahead.
